The advent of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been viewed by the MJDF as an opportunity to enhance existing client focus and reflect the Aboriginal worldview, prioritising collective decision-making, relationship and place-based responses. MJDF aligns well with NDIS principles, prioritising inter community linkages and building the capacity and knowledge of mainstream organisations about disability, partnering to improve not only physical access but also attitudes.
See how MJDF make our NDIS plans work for us by watching ‘MJDF Going On Country’.
MJD Foundation has registration in many Core, Capacity Building and Capital Supports Categories.
If you have any questions about the NDIS and/or to discuss your supports under the NDIS please contact your Manager, Community Services (MCS).
The NDIS website can be found here.
MJD Foundation has adopted the TTP so we can continue to provide quality supports to our clients living with Machado-Joseph Disease. The TTP is an additional payment the NDIS has introduced to assist providers, like the MJD Foundation, as we continue the transition to working under the NDIS. You do not have to pay for the TTP because the NDIS does.
The current TTP price lists for NDIS support items can be found here.
