MJD Foundation performs "Disability Audit" as part of NDIS DisabilityCare Australia Practical Design Fund
The MJD Foundation was one of 73 innovative projects that received funding from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practical Design Fund. (Now called DisabilityCare Australia)
The MJDF conducted a "Disability Audit" examining the prevalence of disability and service provision in six very remote Indigenous communities (Angurugu, Umbakumba, Milyakburra, Ngukurr, Urapunga and Galiwin'ku).
The project (with ethics approval from Menzies School of Health Research and the NT Government) will inform the design of the DisabilityCare Australia for remote communities around Australia.
